Weekend

Just some random weekend stories.

1.  Daniel came home from Granny’s house on Friday being able to put 4 fingers up and say “dlie” when asked how old he is.  This of course meant we kept on asking how old his sisters and Mommy and Daddy and granny was.  And yes, you guessed it, the answer was dlie, every time!

2.  Hubby and I managed to go out and see a movie on Saturday night for the first time in ages and left the In-laws to baby sit.  It sounds like it was chaos, but the very best was when we got home she told us that Daniel had a poo nappy but that she had left it in the bin for us.  Wrapped in FOIL.  Did I mention that they are in their late 70’s?  (We put his night nappy on before we went out)

3.  The girls are a scream bath time.  They now lean over and blow bubbles in the water and then kill themselves laughing,  They are SO funny!

4.  Daniel sings the WHOLE time, mostly Afrikaans songs from Lollos.  I’ll jot down the words he sings soon as they are hilarious.

5.  He was given a little Alladin man by Granny and he is totally obsessed with it.  He has never this obsessed with a toy, it’s quite sweet 🙂  As I am writing this he is asleep with Alladin in bed with him.

6. My courtyard is pretty much finished thanks to this wonderful Malawian gentleman called Dan that takes care of our garden on a Saturday.  

Have a great week, I might be a little quiet as there is a lot that needs to get done this week, but I’ll catch up soon!

Edit:  I forgot to ad the bit where Mignon gagged on a piece of boerewors on the way to bed this evening and puked all over the runner in the passage.  I then chucked the thing in the bath, tried to wash off most of the bits and left it in there.  I also had a giggle to myself as the cat’s waterbowl is usually in the bath.  Hubby just reported that the cat is sitting on the edge of the bath looking mighty unimpressed. LOL
